I have been looking for an afternoon tea place in Seoul until I found this awesome place on the Internet. It’s located conveniently next to Bukchon Hanok Village, close to Insadong. The interior of the restaurant was amazing. The design was modern yet the traditional setting of the Hanok gives it vintage vibe. There is an open kitchen, a lot of silverware and china, and great lightings. I think they put a lot of effort on the details of the place from all the tea ware to the decorations on the shelves. Just like any other afternoon teas, there are scones, cakes, and sandwiches on a three-tier stand. There is also a pot of tea of your choice. To be honest, the food wasn’t amazing, but the reason why I decided to give it a 4-star is because of the environment. It’s different than other places, it’s traditional Korean and western mix together. I am not saying the food was horrible, it’s just acceptable. However, I would like to go back on the sole reason of the environment. Tip: It’s best to call them ahead and make reservations so they are expecting you and give you a better seat. After calling you have to pay a deposit to secure your spot. I think there are walk-ins, but I can’t be too sure. If you don’t want the afternoon tea, it’s also a great place to just chill and have a cup of tea.
