I was in the Prince Edward area in Hong Kong and had a big gap between my plans. Of course, the first instinct that I had was definitely to search a nice cafe nearby to spend my time. And I am so glad I did or else I wouldn’t have found this gem. It was easy to find the cafe. However, it was surprising to find it on the same street with many car shops and garages. The Chinese name for the cafe is 牧羊少年咖啡.茶.酒館. Now, they have many chains in Hong Kong, but this one is the original.
When I first entered the cafe, this is what I saw. It was obvious their theme was about travels. Behind the bar table, there are expresso machines and a full bar. Kind of funny how both fit together so well. The other intriguing thing is the bookshelves. There are many cafes with books, but this one is filled with travel books. Just my favorite. Under the table glass, it was filled with fliers from other countries and the walls had many postcards from around the world. Besides from the fliers, there was a small booklet on the table that introduced a special event that happens every Saturday in the cafe. There is a stage for couchsurfers and their travel experience. Being a couchsurfer myself, I can really relate! If only I was in Hong Kong for a longer time, then I would’ve attended those events! I didn’t know such a homey place existed in Hong Kong!
