I was looking for a good cajun seafood place besides from The Boil in NYC and I found Cajun Sea & Oyster Bar conveniently located near Ktown in 33rd Street Herald Square. The interior was nice, a bit of a sailor theme. The pricing was not bad as well, I was very happy with the portion and the price. Between the 6 of us we shared a garlic butter lobster combo, a classic cajun king crab combo, 2 pastas, and a side of lobster mac & cheese. By the end of dinner, we were stuffed.

I have to say everything on the menu was so good! I even thought it tasted better than The Boil which is one of the first ones to bring in the southern style cajun seafood to New York. You were able to choose your spicy level and we went for spicy on the king crab and to our surprise it's spicier than we thought. Nevertheless, it was delicious and although we were drinking lots of water, it was worth it.

The creamy pasta, was like the name, very creamy and not watery or heavy like some other restaurants. Sometimes I find restaurants overdo their pasta with too much butter or cheese, but in Cajun Sea, they do it right. The spicy tomato pasta was very flavorful throughout, the tomato was not sour nor too sweet and the black mussels was cooked just right.

For the boil if I had to choose between spicy and butter garlic... I will not choose! Why not have both? My advice when eating cajun seafood is always bring your friends and share! You will be able to try much more things this way!
