I have always wanted to try Zero Degrees' split cup! I mean who doesn't want to try 2 flavors at once?! But turns out I was actually very disappointed. The idea of the split cup is good, but I was surprised at the TINY PORTION of the drinks. I know getting a split cup decreases the portion already, but the fact they filled the the split cup with mostly ice was what disappointed me. Their ice are smaller than the size of boba, which means they compactly fill every inch of your cup, and melts fast. As you can see from the picture, half of the drink are tiny ice cubes, which means I only took a few sips and everything was gone. All that's left are ice (and I had to drink it fast before all the ice melts and ruin the taste of my drink). Since the ice was so tiny, it goes into my boba straw as well. I am trying to chew boba, not ice...
I got the Strawberry Bliss and Sea Salt Green Tea. The Strawberry Bliss was good, but the boba was not. It felt like it has been sitting there the whole day and it should've been tossed out. I often drink 85 Degrees' Sea Salt Tea and they are pretty darn good. But this one... there was a weird taste to the tea and the foam/cream didn't mix well with the tea at all. I regretted getting this one.
If the girl at the counter asked the % of the ice I want, I think this disappointment wouldn't have been as big. Actually even as default, there shouldn't have been so much ice. I felt very dissatisfied paying$5.75 for a drink that contains mostly ice and old boba. If you want it for the gram, go ahead, if you looking for a good drink, think twice before you order.
