M.Y.O SUSHI - WEST COVINA, CA

If you are looking for a cheap poke place, then MYO sushi is for you! Although their restaurant name has the word SUSHI, I notice they mainly sell poke here. At least everyone was here for the poke. For me, poke and sushi are very different things and they cannot replace one another. I know they sell sushi here too, but poke is their main thing. Anyways, for the price of what you pay, they give you a very generous portion! So much I couldn't finish it! They also give you sides (salad, edamame, sweet potato tempura and miso soup) which is kind of rare at a poke place.

Their salmon was good! But I wasn't a fan of their tuna at all, it just didn't taste fresh. Their salad was a bit disappointing too because there were was a huge excess of water at the bottom of my bowl. I know it's hard to avoid since they freshly washed the vegetables, but nowadays many poke place keep their salad vegetable dry to prevent this from happening.

Overall, if I am craving for a cheap poke, maybe I will come back here. It's not bad, but there are many other poke places to choose from.
