Who doesn't love dinner with a view. Originally my friend recommended me C Level in San Diego (which is right next to Coasterra). However, they do not take reservations and when we arrived we found out the table wait time was a bit long. We actually wait listed for both restaurants and Coasterra was first, so I guess it was meant to be! Then, while we were waiting for our table, fireworks unexpectedly lit up by the water! Just our luck our table was ready at the same time and we happened to get the table right in front of the fireworks! Now that’s why I call front row seats! Life was good, but it just got better!
Anyways, Coasterra is a Mexican restaurant with an amazing skyline view of San Diego. I love the seafood offering they have here, so it's not just meat meat meat. Our food took a bit longer than expected and we kept eating the unlimited nachos + salsa (it was so good), so by the time our food came I was already a bit full. Nevertheless the food was so delicious with big portions!
Pan-Seared Diver Scallops. One of my favorite thing on the plate was the squid-ink chicharone. It was so crispy and a good contrast to the soft texture of the scallops.

Surf & Turf. It comes with half Carne Asada and half Maine Lobster, the Carne Asada was a bit chewy but the chimichurri sauce was delicious! The Maine Lobster was actually not that fat and a bit watery, but with the price I paid I was satisfied with it.

Churros. We were actually so damn full already but I couldn't resist the churros. I always love fresh churros from restaurants instead of the ones from street stand. The dipping sauce was chocolate and dulce de leche! We were actually so full and took it to go. The next day I put it in the oven and it was still super delicious!

Overall, I highly recommended Coasterra for a romantic date or celebration.
