It was my first time in Malibu and my friend brought me here! I am not sure how it compares to the other famous restaurants as such Nobu, Moonshadows or Mastro's, but I know I love Geoffrey for their view! From the stunning view to the great food, I am a happy camper! The view is so beautiful you think its fake! The price is a bit expensive for what they offer on the menu (and also their valet parking), but you should expect that from all restaurants in Malibu with such a view! California weather is unpredictable though, around 20 minutes after we sat down the sky started turning gray! But at least we got the pictures we wanted!
Oysters, were not bad. Eggs Benedict standard with prosciutto. And my friend got the flat iron steak with scrambled eggs which wasn't bad as well. Overall, the food is decent but you mainly come here for the view.
One thing I didn't like was their service. We made a reservation and requested to sit by the water, but the girl at the front desk seated us indoors when there was clearly a free table by the water. It was not until we requested we got seated by the water. I know the table was not reserved either because we saw her seat other people by the water after us. And it seems they have one server serving many tables, so it took a while for our server to come to us whenever we needed help. Definitely minus one star because of the service.
